It’s been a hot minute but we have another great episode for you today!

In this episode, Sam asks the question of do we try the intubation or just go to the cricothyrotomy?  We each have our opinions which we will share and we also bring up some crazy scenarios and images to emphasize our opinions.  (Warning there are some strong images in this one)! 

Continuing on this topic we discuss Severe Angioedema related to Ace Inhibitors.  You will get to see one of the coolest airway videos you have ever watched and we learn about a new treatment option for dealing with Ace Inhibitor Angioedema. 

There is some great advice and discussions dealing with difficult airways in this video. You will not be disappointed and should learn something new.  After we cover airway management we discuss rule #3 in our rules for EMS series. 

The final part of this Podcast goes into what we are calling the “Pre-CISM”. Most EMS providers know what a Critical Incident Stress Management “CISM” entails, but why do we have to wait for something terrible to happen before we talk about these types of things. We have some great advice for EMS providers and we open ourselves up to being vulnerable and let out some emotions practicing what we are preaching.
