Listen Later

Primarily his client base covers property, charities, education, as well as a number of AIM-listed. His significant experience means that he can proactively advise his clients on key matters, which is even more important in these challenging times.

During this episode we touched on the importance of understanding the environment in which you are operating; being a true partner, marketing for your people and understanding the needs of your teams. Hamid spoke about how the public sector has been able to adjust well to the current climate. Detailing how the workforce is very well connected and forward-thinking – meaning they’re easily able to adapt to new ways of working.

Hamid failed his A-level exams and has faced numerous setbacks and obstacles throughout his career which have shaped Hamid’s success into the great leader he is today; “failure builds resilience and improves your understanding of others experiences. Listen to your team, give everyone an equal opportunity to contribute.”

Hamid then discussed how he overcame barriers, changed perceptions and tackled unconscious bias in the workplace. Hamid reiterated the significance of being a workplace ally, and how speaking up improves awareness and amplifies the voices of minority groups. The key to equality is to embrace our differences.
