Lavar Jacobs is a Husband, Father, full time employee and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder of Not Just October, a breast cancer awareness foundation that was created to carry on his mother Kim’s legacy after her passing in 2009. I’ve known Lavar for years and have always appreciated his willingness to be creative and have outside the box thinking despite the opinions of others. His organization provides assistance for women battling breast cancer by lawn care, food and home supplies, as well as rent assistance when needed. His relentless effort to building NJO as a top tier breast cancer awareness organization has given him the opportunity to appear on The Steve Harvey Show and Basketball Wives speaking on his organization.
