In this episode of the Blissfully Calm Podcast I'm sharing with you my lifelong struggle with anxiety and how I'm coping during the pandemic. Anxiety has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I recall monitoring my heartbeat and always worried that I was going to die. Heart palpitations continue to scare me on a near daily basis. I also share my experiences with PTSD, derealization and depersonalization and how I use to think I was the only person in the world experiencing this scary and difficult to describe sensations.
I share my experience with being on 15-20 different medications for anxiety and depression and how I was finally able to get off medication. I share my personal journey from binge drinking to having a spiritual awakening, detoxing my mind and body with Bikram yoga and switching to a plant based diet.
I share my debilitating anxiety symptoms, daily panic attacks and how I made the decision to leave my job and sell my home in Seattle so that I could take 6 months off to focus on my mental health and get myself back to a good place.
I share how I'm coping to stay sane during the pandemic and the practices I do on a daily basis to keep my anxiety under control.
