Michael Lauria was a Pararescueman or PJ in the US Air Force and Critical Care/Flight Paramedic for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team. Now, he is an Emergency Medicine Physician at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Centre, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellow and Flight Physician for Lifeguard Air Emergency Services. Michael has published a number of research papers on human factors that affect clinical performance. His mission is to draw from the fields of psychology, cognitive science, organisational behaviour, performance science, and Human Factors to improve the way that we provide emergency medical care.
