Too many times we let things that Jesus dealt with take our vote at the table, be it pride, shame, condemnation or guilt and that often causes us to keep self-sabotaging because we blame. God requires us to show up to the table as our authentic selves and how we get to that authenticity is one - by correction... correction from other imperfect people. Where you are supposed to vote 'yes' that you were wrong, vote 'yes' - don't let anything distract you from taking your place, owning up to your wrong and allowing yourself to grow. Those correcting you are not perfect, yes they have a splinter in their own eye but them pointing the splinter in your eye isn't pleading ignorance/innocence of their own but it also doesn't disqualify them from speaking the truth about what caused the splinter to be lodged in your eye. Truth is truth is truth and sin is sin is sin.
This is definitely a DIFFERENT perspective, do enjoy!
