the main character basically have to outsmart and survive the Fae court, Vale and his trickery. Sabine and her rise of power and memories of her past lives. Basten has to reclaim his throne with her at her side. however much they don't like it. They try to get the mortals to accept the Fae and worship them. Basten smells trickery and he is right. the Fae prefer fear then rue loyalty, all but Sabine. With Rain's help they trick the Fae at there own game for now. 5 stars. waiting on book 5
