In honor of the Black Lives Matter movement, we wanted to publicize the recently reopened investigation of the death of Tamla Horsford. Tamla, a strong and caring black female, attended an adult sleepover with 7 white females and was found face down in the backyard the next morning. Although the circumstances surrounding her death point towards foul play, her death was ruled an accident and consistent with a fall. But Tamla’s friends and family, and an outcry from social media, have all questioned the ruling enough that the case is officially reopened.
