People always try to find out how to debate a leftist, but they are often unreasonable. Learn how to debate a liberal that is reasonable.
You will learn how to talk about politics without fighting. And how to talk to liberals and how to talk to leftists without any anger and hatred.
Transcript:
Step 1 - Choose your battles wisely!
Proverbs 17:28 from the Bible says, "Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue."
A nonsensical conversation will divulge into a sea of frustration, and you will not be any wiser for partaking in it.
Only talk to someone that is willing to discuss topics and learn from both sides. Do not talk to individuals that are not opened to having reasonable conversations.
Never force a conversation on someone that is not willing to discuss a topic.
If the conversation becomes a yelling match, leave the conversation immediately.
Step 2 - The objective is love, not hatred
Booker T Washington said, "I will permit no man to narrow and degrade my soul by making me hate him."
If your conversations involve degrading a human being or making fun of someone, you are doing something wrong; and you shouldn't have them.
There is a vast difference between disagreeing and educating versus bullying and humiliating someone.
Step 3 - Your defense needs to be as strong as your offense
Sun Tzu the author of 'The Art Of War' said, "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting........Supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting".
It is important to note that we do not view people as enemies but as brothers and sisters with God-given individual rights.
You will spend a lot of time defending yourself from character attacks.
Calling someone a horrible person is an easy way to derail a conversation.
Your character will most probably be attacked with outrage when you are having a conversation with a liberal.
You will most probably be called a bigot, racist, homophobe, transphobe, Islamaphobe, xenophobe or sexist.
If someone calls you a racist ask them for evidence to prove their claim because that is an extreme allegation.
If they cannot give you an answer or invent a false standard; walk away as you are not dealing with a reasonable person. You are most probably dealing with someone that hold their political views too religiously to be challenged.
If they are willing to resort to calling you a sexist (or any other allegation) with no basis to attack your moral character so they can derail a conversation, just walk away.
Before you leave, let them know what they are doing is wrong and evil. And if you make false allegations, you are someone that is not only a liar but someone that is not inclined to pursue the truth.
Step 4 - Stick to the facts and ignore the semantics
John Adams said, "Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."
Do not let your conversations get bogged down by majoring on the minor issues.
Focus on the facts and do not deviate from them.
Spouting out conservative talking points without credible evidence will make you look like a lunatic.
If you are asked about a fact that you don't know about, just say, "I don't know about it." You can even add, I will look into it and get back to you.......check out your social media links to see the rest of the transcript.
