In Episode 100, Miss K breaks from the usual format of Brass Needles in order to speak to a topic which is near and dear to her – community.
After going to CampKIP and meeting others of “her kind,” Miss K wants to make sure that everyone else in this community has the same chance to establish relationships and make friends in their communities, whether they be the fibre community, the science fiction community, or another.
In the spirit of community, Miss K is banding together with other podcasters for a knitalong of the Daybreak by Stephen West (westknits). This is a shawl which is wearable by both men and women (everyone is included!) and which is about easy beginner level of difficulty based on Miss K’s observations of the pattern.
