Unpacking the Shelf is a podcast by Adam and Alex.
It's our 100th episode, and in timely fashion (considering the recent news) it's time to talk about the Legion of Super-Heroes. We are delving into issues #259-289 and Annual #1 of vol. 2 of the title, as well as Secrets of the Legion of Super-Heroes #1-3. A rough time in Legion history, but one that included work by the likes of Gerry Conway, Jimmy Janes, Steve Ditko, Roy Thomas, as well as the beginnings of Paul Levitz & Keith Giffen's epic run on the title.
Here are the links detailing comic sales in the early 1980s: one, two & three.
In other news:
(1:43:56) - Adam has been watching a Japanese TV drama called Love Complex.
(1:53:07) - Alex has finished watching all of Steven Universe, including the movie & Future series.
And if you have any questions or comments for us, you can reach us at [email protected].
You can find Adam on Bluesky @wendeego & his writing on Crunchyroll News, Comics Beat, & ANIWIRE, and Alex's creative work at sandcomic.com.
Intro & Outro track: A.T.M. (Alien Time Machine) by Atum.
