The Pocket Contemplative

Episode 100 - Why Do Christians So Love Personality Profiles?

Listen Later

Dave Schmelzer (Blue Ocean Faith's executive director) discovered personality profiles when he joined his first Christian group after a previous life of atheism. And what he discovered was that Christian groups seriously love these things. From the Myers-Briggs to the DISC test to Strengths Finder to the motherlode--the Enneagram--he discovered that learning about the Bible and about God also seemed to involve learning about his and others's personalities. He, Christina Roberts and Ryan Bauers celebrate the awesomeness of this while wondering if it has downsides.
