And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which ideed you were called in our body. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15

Paul is writing about a pattern of conduct for all Believers. Get rid of all sin - which is rooted in idolatry. Replace it with positive behaviors. And then allow the peace of God to build unity among His people, resulting in glory to him.
