Today I had the opportunity to talk to Henry Liera one of the founding members of Valle Vota, a  non-partisan organization leading the Imperial Valley to the voting booth.  We talked about some of the numbers and data when it comes to voter turnout in the Imperial Valley and the importance of going out to vote and being involved when it comes to local elected officials and local propositions.  It's really encouraging to see our youth getting involved on something like this, it's a no-brainer, people should go out and vote but yet they don't and this young generation is working really hard to encourage our community to go out and vote.
