Welcome to Knight-Majik the podcast our continuing  Black History Month music celebration!  This week we pay tribute to three great figures in Black Music and History, all connected to the date of  February 21st. First we recognize the birthday of Miss Nina Simone (February 21, 1933), she was a great singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger, and civil rights activist! Next remember the tragic assassination of Malcolm X. He was a revolutionary, Muslim minister and human rights activist! He was killed on February 21, 1965, in New York City in the prime of his life.  Lastly, we mourn the passing of Jerry Butler on February 21, 2025, one of the great R&B/Soul singers of our time!
