"It’s an interesting transition going from having everything taken care of for you to out on your own in the civilian world in the matter of a few days. The challenges are extremely steep, you don’t have anyone to rely on, and you don’t entirely know what to do. The only thing I really knew is that this was my opportunity to shine and I couldn’t quit and I couldn’t back down. Giving this my all in the early stages, I’d work seven days a week from roughly 7AM to 11PM at a Starbucks in order to maximize the amount of time I’d learn and grow I could achieve in a day.
It wasn’t until recently that I was able to see the fruits of my effort ....."
