I went on a date this week where I felt a bit like an escort - not that there was anything sexually implied, nor was any money exchanged, but there was definitely an exchange. He was on business and wanted company for dinner (and nothing more), I had nothing better to do and wanted to go on a date with someone intelligent and attractive - and he was both. We had an amazing evening, scintillating conversation, and an abundance of fun. And that was the end of that. I'll never see him again and I'm sure we will both go on to lead wonderful and fulfilling lives. It made me think about escorts and people who do this for a living. There are so many lonely people in the world, and imagine if they could just have someone join them for dinner and a wonderful date and there was no catch to it. But the question remains, could you date an escort?
