Episode 106: Reamonn Gormley
This week Joannagh tells us of the senseless killing of Reamonn Gormley, a 19-year-old student from Blantyre in South Lanarkshire.
We hear from Joannagh about what a kind and selfless person Reamonn was, noting the charity work he carried out overseas, and the words of his family and teachers on his character.
Joannagh goes on to describe the incident in which Reamonn lost his life, a knife attack during a random robbery, carried out by two men already on bail.
We also hear about the aftermath of Reamonns death, with outpourings of grief and messages of support from across the globe, as well as a funeral attended by the manager of Celtic, the football team Reamonn supported, whilst hundreds of mourners lined the streets.
