What up doe!
Welcome back to Baltimore County Forever Podcast. This is episode 106 and we got my man Norm on today.
We jump right into it with a new segment called “Regular Norm Rants.” Norm vents to gets some things off his chest- specifically Dave East going commercial.
Then we get into this week’s playlist and start off with the Ruff Ryders, Swizz Beatz, X & Drag-on. How important was Swizz Beatz to crafting their sound? Would Ruff Ryders have been as dominant as they were if Dame Grease did the majority of their beats instead of Swizz?
We then change gears to Black Rob, and Norm and I talk about “Whoa” and its producer, Buckwild. Norm talks about his favorite track produced by Buckwild.
Next we jump into the Missy Elliott and Ms. Jade track, “Funky Fresh.” Why aren’t these two mentioned when people discuss top female rappers?
Tune into the DJ Khaled discussion, where we talk about “Wild Thoughts” actually being a Wu Tang sample, not a Carlos Santana sample.
Finally we talk about “Never Let Me Down” by Jay and Ye made the list this week and I talk about the first time I heard it and that version only having 1 Jay verse.
