Born into privilege to a wealthy family in (barely) pre-Civil War Georgia, the fall of the Confederacy and Reconstruction altered this son of a lawyer and grandson of a plantation owner’s destiny, but he still reached incredible heights through dubious means before meeting an untimely end.
We explore the swindles, the supporting cast, and the sad end of Soapy in this episode!
