Recently, Minneapolis Police Department chief of staff Art Knight (a black police officer) was quoted in a Minneapolis Star Tribune article wherein he criticized the lack of diversity in police recruits, saying "If you keep employing the same tactics, you’re just going to get the same old white boys.” In response to pressure from the union, the chief of police demoted Knight. In this episode, we explore the impossibility of reforming such a system when white offense and fragility overwhelm white self-reflection and repentance.
