Listen Later

This week Clint talks with Marnie Ferree, M.A. Marnie is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Nashville, Tennessee, where she founded and directs Bethesda Workshops, a Christian-based, clinical intensive program for sex addicts – men and women – and partners of sex addicts. Since the early 1990s she has been a pioneer in the field: establishing the first gender-specific treatment for female sex addicts, creating the first intensive workshops for adolescents struggling with pornography and other forms of problematic sexual behavior, and telling her personal story of recovery on platforms large and small, including NBC’s Dateline in 2004. She is the author of No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction, which was one of the first works to address this problem in women and is still considered the definitive book for females. Marnie is also the co-author of Out of the Doghouse for Christian Men - A Redemptive Guide for Men Caught Cheating. She blogs regularly through Bethesda Workshops and speaks at clinical and recovery conferences and churches across the country.
