  • Basketball is a vessel to impact kids, relate to them, and teach life lessons.
  • It's what they do, not necessarily who they are.
  • Encouraging kids to have an identity outside of basketball, because the game eventually stops.
  • When she figured this out: In college at Loyola, intentionally choosing a non-basketball roommate and joining Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to branch out and learn from diverse experiences.
