London-based Alice Searby has been active in the world of casting for many years. As Casting Director she recently cast both the BBC Films, Pathé & Ingenious Media co-production JUDY, starring Renée Zellweger and Paul Feig’s LAST CHRISTMAS, from Universal Pictures and starring Emilia Clarke. She got her start as a Casting Associate on a wide variety of features including THE GOLDEN COMPASS, AN EDUCATION, J. EDGAR, INVICTUS, and BROOKLYN.  She is currently busy with several more features in pre-production.  In a conversation with Zef Cota, she spoke about her journey into casting, how it is great for those getting into casting to really be passionate about both theater and film, and some memorable stories about the casting process, from a few of her projects.
