In Episode 11 of UnityNow! host Toby Davis sits down with three Unity volunteers who are also musicians. The guests are Danette Beavers, Wil Bruninga and Joe Houck. Here, they chat about music’s role in political movements, where they draw their inspiration and more topics relating to music and political discourse. In addition to the main discussion, each Danette, Wil and Joe perform their music for us. You can find links to all three here in the show notes below.
In July, Unity2020 burst onto the political stage with a simple yet radical idea -- elect two individuals from both political sides as a single ticket. Since then, over 30,000 (and growing) volunteers have joined the movement. While Unity2020 is no longer working to achieve ballot access in the 2020 election, the need for the movement still continues.
