Today’s Guest is Dave Taylor, the extraordinary Bass Trombonist, who for decades has disproven that a muted personality will land you in a lucrative career. Dave is a great hero of mine, and I feel like I’ve known him for years through my dear friend Felix DelTredici. Meeting him for this podcast was a real joy, and he proved to live up to my expectations.
Dave and I talk at great length about many subjects including bravery, and going all out. I value this perspective enormously, as I do not believe history ever rewards the cowardly in the pantheon of artistic remembrance. In these uncertain times, I wish more people would stop listening to those who built their lives in institutional comfort, in favor of people like Dave, who has dared to live his own life, with tremendous results.
