In this episode David Keck shares his story of his brutal hate crime attack. The abuse he received and how he found healing through therapy and his supportive and loving family.

At the age of 34 David Keck was targeted by a straight man who was trained military and recently discharged due to drug. He attacked and raped David. Because of this attack David rediscovered the life changing power of compassion, leaving him to change his life trajectory. The two qualities - an ability to brazenly take on any topic and a deep well of compassion has inspired David to start the "Surviving Abuse Podcast."
