Baby boomers are born between the years 1946 and 1964. This includes people who are between 52 and 70 years old in 2016, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Baby boomers are five times more likely to have Hepatitis C than other adults.

The CDC recommends that EVERYONE born between 1946-1964 get tested for the Hepatitis C virus.

Most people don’t know that are infected with the Hepatitis C virus because it can remain dormant in the body with no signs or symptoms for 20-30 years.

Hepatitis C is treatable and can even be cured with the treatment available today.

It is not well understood why baby boomers have the highest rate of Hepatitis C, but we suspect it is due the medical delivery system at the time.
