You Did What Now?

Episode 11 Laying Out For CRISPR

Listen Later

Stephanie and Michael discuss a California man who has a genetic disorder that basically makes him allergic to the sun, and his desire to give scientists carte blanche to try to fix it with CRISPR.
There was some brief discussion about non-UN nations, and it turns out really the only nations not members are ones that aren't really officially recognized. Palestine and Vatican City mainly. Also Kosovo, Western Sahara, Taiwan, places like that.
Next week's episode is a Gattaca discussion and how it pertains to science and tech today. Fairly interesting stuff, and if you need a refresher on the movie, now's your time. It's on Netflix.
