Omkara Kevin Wicks teaches yoga, qi gong and meditation in the Brunswick area. He received the Sanskrit name, Omkara, while spending time at the Shivananda Ashram in the Bahamas, where he returns periodically to spend extended amounts of time through their Karma Yoga work exchange program. The name is a connection to the teachings and a daily reminder that we are more than our physical body and mind.

Omkara Kevin’s yoga teaching journey began with the Shivashakti School of Yoga in Union, Maine and that was where he first heard about the Shivananda Ashrams. He has also trained in other methods such as Thai body work, trigger point therapy, astrology, and qi gong.
