School Counselors hold an essential position in the dynamics of a school. Do you remember your school counselor in school? For me, the two that stand out are Mrs. Hooks (THE BEST!!!!) & Mr. Martínez. When I think of the role of a counselor, I see them as a resource to help grow the whole-child, academically & socially/emotionally. The role has changed, and more responsibilities have been placed in their job description. Counselors are adapting, and doing so with more knowledge, while maintaining a loving and caring 💟 for kids.
