In part 1 of this three-part special episode, we're going to cover the "prequel" to the 2020 election by talking about how presidential candidates are actually chosen and the strategies used by various candidates to secure the nomination. Since incumbent presidents typically don't have eventful primaries, the focus will primarily be on the Democratic Presidential primary and all the events there, most notably: The early debates, the "Bernie Wave", Super Tuesday, and the subsequent "Biden Wave".
