In John 10, Jesus not only makes two “I AM” statements, but arguably His boldest, most clear statements about Himself. While we can got lost in the language and imagery of this chapter, at the heart, it’s a story comparing our Good Shepherd, to ones who failed to shepherd well. This week closes our study for the Fall but also this particular section where John puts together a collection of stories to show how the Jewish Feasts and Festivals point us to Jesus. The first section of this chapter take place at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles; while the second occurs during the Feast of Dedication, or Hanukkah.
