In this episode, we’ll dive into the controversial subject of Christians and politics, and we will smash the sacred-secular divide that exits in the minds of far too many Christians. In doing so, we’ll discuss the even more controversial subject of Theonomy. I will argue for Theonomy, but I will not ground my argument in any particular eschatology or covenantal understanding of Scripture—even though both of those things matter. I will ground my argument for Theonomy in Presuppositional Apologetics, our distinctly Christian epistemology, and ultimately in the supremacy of Jesus Christ.

It should be a fun and thought provoking episode, which I pray will help serve the cause of Reformation throughout the dying and decaying Western culture.

For those of you who hear anything about the law and are immediately triggered and think, “Legalism!” I just want to say upfront that I absolutely detest legalism in all of its various forms. In fact, I think we’ll do our next upside on “Legalism, Antinomianism, and Christian Liberty.” We need a full enough picture of the Christian life that we can understand the proper place of law, gospel, and freedom in Christ. Hopefully, today’s episode on “The Supremacy of Christ Over Politics” will help to paint that picture.
