Joel Holland has certainly built an impressive company at VideoBlocks with 100+ employees and $30 million of annual revenue but it's been a long, hard journey that started in his dorm room at Babson College.

Joel has been an entrepreneur since his early teens, mostly selling products online, but one day he came up with the idea of creating high-quality videos, putting them on CD's and mailing them out to customers around the country. He was selling them for just $10 and in the first few years he shipped more than 1 million CD's. But as we all know, technology is always evolving and businesses need to keep up so eventually Joel moved VideoBlocks into the current subscription/marketplace business model.
