Episode 110: Trauma Healing-- Being Gentle with the Body

In Episode 110 we discuss the idea that being hard on our bodies is so ingrained in us that we have forgotten how to be gentle with them. When we combine this with past experiences of trauma, we start to realize that our bodies might never actually feel safe, even when we are alone! Being gentle with our bodies can start to retrain the brain to recognize that the body is safe. This meditation involves gentle guided movement and self-touch to begin to begin to access that safety in the body.
