The report was incorrect — it was a transformer fire. Generating Turbines are not off-the-shelf equipment, of course neither are transformers, but there are many of them, and they are much easier to repair they are an exterior part, not like a turbine and interior part.Instead of not charging Tesla’s, perhaps housewives in LA can “line dry” their clothes, go back to hand washing dishes or turn off every other light in their home. Any one of these strategies will ease the shortage.PS You may not use solar energy to charge your Tesla, it requires 220V & we live in a 110V society.
