In our heavily divided world, the one place that Christians are regularly joined together with one united voice is in gathered worship where we sing the gospel, participate in fellowship with Jesus and each other, and interact with God and His Word as one body. This union is only as strong as our willingness to submit to it, and as many of us know, our worldly divisiveness has seeped into our gatherings with God and others on Sunday mornings.
In this introductory episode, Trevor and Ryan start the conversation about the walls that we commonly put up in our Sunday morning gathered worship. This conversation spans the objections to the origin of some worship songs, particular song wordings or focuses, musical styles and arrangements, and how certain songs meet deep events in our lives to grow roots into our hearts and preferences.
