To obey means, “to follow the commands or guidance of something”. How many times have you ignored God’s command? How many times have you walked the other way when the Lord has asked you call someone, pray for a stranger, reach out to a family member who hurt you? Our refusal to be obedient has a long reaching impact on the Kingdom. God wants us to have a willing heart, and it is that willing heart that allows us to take part in his plan. He doesn’t need us to do it, he’s asking us to be open to doing what he’s asking us to do.
