For the epic 2-part finale to season 1, Simon and Matthew throw open the doors of the Roundhay Garden Cinema for a festival of double bills, giving their ticket buying patrons two movies for the price of one. On this show, Simon and Matthew, the co-proprietors of the fictional 2-screen repertory cinema, 'The Roundhay Garden', will be discussing and recommending movies built around a particular topic.
The topic could be a genre, an actor, an actress, a director, a year in movie history or any other theme that comes to mind.
And they will each be choosing movies from the topic to programme at the cinema to fill the schedule - a 'Matinee' movie, a 'Prime Time' movie, and a 'Midnight Movie'.
This is a film recommendation show, but the movies Simon and Matthew choose to discuss are not necessarily their favourite films on a subject. They are the films that they feel are interesting and worthy of discussion - and best fit into these programming slots.
