Barbados is a sovereign island country in the Lesser Antilles. It is 21 miles long and up to 14 miles wide, covering an area of 167 square miles. It is situated in the western area of the North Atlantic and 62 miles east of the Windward Islands and the Caribbean Sea putting it east of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines north-east of Trinidad and Tobago. If all of that means nothing to you, let’s just say that Barbados is 1,600 miles southeast of Miami. Elizabeth was recently in Barbados, specifically at a new Sandals resort.
