Welcome back to Baltimore County Forever Podcast. It’s Episode 116 and this week, we have my dawg Norm checking in with us. We discuss The Notorious BIG recently being inducted to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and I ask Norm what would it take for something like this to be formally recognized in Hip-Hop? Also, it was recently announced that the Neptunes will be inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame, which prompted me to ask Norm what would an accolade like that mean to him? Then he gives me his views on ghostwriting.
We also discuss this week’s playlist. Hov’s “Ignorant shit” made the list and we talk about the original version recorded in 2004 and the album version featured on “American Gangsta” that included two additional verses. We discuss the 3rd verse and how Jay tackles people blaming Hip-Hop for what happens in the world.
Lil Wayne’s “Best Rapper Alive” is also on the list. We talk about Wayne’s new album on the way titled “The Funeral” and if he should retire after this album. We also discuss if Wayne has had his “4:44 album” yet.
“Clarity” by Don Q also made this week’s playlist. I talk about why I consider him to be the Styles P for this generation and in comparison, how A-Boogie is the Kiss of this generation in terms of star quality.
