This morning we see some missional mentoring as we meet Apollos in Acts 18:24-28, with Priscilla and Aquila encouraging him where he understands the Word but not the Holy Spirit.

Jamie said the question is not so much do you have the Holy Spirit, but does the Holy Spirit have you? As we prayed, Jamie asked us to respond like Apollos:

• Powerful proclamation:

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power… (1 Corinthians 2:4)

• Prayerful progress: (prayer after Vision Sunday to see the vision grow)

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. (1 Corinthians 3:6)

• Personal priority:

… be filled with the Spirit… [continuously] (Ephesians 5:18)
