As we learned in the last episode, deaths from drug overdose have tripled over the last decade. Whether it’s from depression, grief, generational tendencies or bad influences, addiction has been a misunderstood and shameful disease for a very long time.
Today we want to help bring a voice to the addict in a very special way. Educating our listeners about not just addiction (because we all know the basic idea), but the deep and impossible stronghold that it has on individuals that sneaks up on them when it’s too late. And what we can do as friends, family and even strangers and onlookers, to change our perspective, put ourselves in the shoes of an addict, and fight for them when they can’t.
