Our society views extoverts with admiration, while, on the other hand, introversion is mostly frowned upon. Extroverts are given cute tags, such as social butterflies, and introverts are said to be socially awkward and inept.
As an introvert, I can accept being tagged "socially awkward” because introverts have a different point of focus than extroverts do. They are usually not as socially in-tune as extroverts are. However, as for being inept, I disagree.
Society acts as if being an introvert is a short cut to failure. Common assumptions like the one above and many others are incorrect. Introverts are neither unfortunate, weak, nor doomed. This episode is a call to introverts to embrace being introverted and not feel bad because of what the society think of introverts. Listen and enjoy. If you're an extrovert, please share this with people in your life who are introverts. Support them to show up as their best selves.
