Luke 9:23 (CSB) & (AMP)
And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing
in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].
Galatians 2:20 (WEB:
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Colossians 3:3-4 (AMPC):
For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.
