Episode Introduction:
One of the most important relationships a college can have is with the community in which it resides. Endicott College is fortunate to have a strong relationship with the City of Beverly, Massachusetts. Beverly, a city of just under 43,000 people, is a seaside community north of Boston.
Because of its proximity to the ocean, Beverly is at the forefront of sustainable efforts and recently hired Erina Keefe as its Director of Sustainability for the City. With a Masters Degree in City Planning and a specialization in environmental policy and planning, it is Erina’s job to lead the overall sustainability strategy for the City. I’m joined by two very special co-hosts for this episode. Our first co-host is Charles Arinello, a sophomore here at Endicott majoring in business and with a minor in environmental science. Rounding out our team is Anthony Michetti, Endicott College’s director of sustainability who works with Erina on collaborations between the City and the College. This is FUEL Your Fire - Enjoy!
