Todays episode is my conversation with an American hero named Jack Closson. Jack joined the Marines as a teenager and served two tours in Vietmam. After he was discharged from the active Marines he served many years in the United States Marine Reserve, retiring as a 1st Sergeant. Jack has had a varied job career among other things working with the I.R.S. and in the teaching profession. Like myself, Jack was a Democrat at one time but also like myself he had his own #Walk Away experience. He was present at the hotel where Senator Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1968. We cover a lot of subjects in this interview and he gives a solid answer to my question, Was the Vietnam War worth the sacrifice? Jack also discusses his return to Vietnam in 2014.
