In this episode we go into detail of the first song of the Paradise, where Dante is standing with Beatrice in the Garden of Eden, on top of Mount Purgatory - and starts rising upwards towards the heavens and the Empyrean.
This canto lays out the whole map for the journey, and where Beatrice as a symbol of divine and spiritual knowledge, starts her teaching of the Pilgrim. He soars upwards faster than lightning comes down - when he looks into her transfixed eyes, looking at the Divine light.
