The Apostle John gives us the key truth in 1 John 2:24 how to abide in Christ and in God the Father! It is by allowing the Word of God to abide in us. If the Word abides in us then it will enable us to abide in God. The devil knows this powerful truth and hence tries his best to keep people from the Word or the Word from the people. On the other hand, the Holy Spirit constantly tries to get the Word into us to help us to abide in God. We as born again Christians must not just desire the Word but allow it to dwell fully in us for our spiritual growth and strength. The Word leads us to God and God leads us through His Word. In these last days many are deprived of this pure and powerful Word leading them to defeat, defilement and destruction. Without the Word we are prone to the deceptions of the antichrists who abound around us now. Let us repent of our shallow christianity and turn it to Scripture fed Christianity by the grace of God from now on. May the Lord Jesus help us to have this new hunger for His Word and satisfy us with it always. Amen. SDG.
